On New Ground
Join us for a virtual event that brings artists from all over the states in one place. ‘On New Ground’ features new choreographic works by Margo Sappington, Alexandra Farber, and Ja’Malik, with dancers from Texas Ballet Theatre, and freelance artists in New York City. This performance will be different than most, as the pieces are set and filmed outside of a theatre, stage, or studio.

Join Contingent Ballet December 29th 7pm EST live online for our first ever virtual performance.
Contingent Ballet was born out of the need to continue to perform and keep the arts alive during this time. Contingent, meaning ‘subject to change’ has been most performing artists’ lives ever since the pandemic hit. We decided to bring together choreographer Melody Mennite, and dancers Silken Kelly, Emily Speed, and Jonatan Lujan to create a new work through untraditional means. Contingent Ballet works to introduce ballet to non-traditional audiences, bringing innovative choreography and dynamic visuals to the comfort of your own home.
